There are many tools we can use on our weight loss journey. I don’t think any of us should overlook the power of the Divine. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not preaching here. Nor, proselytizing. I’m just adding another layer to our shared challenge: to lose weight. To keep it off!
One of my proudest accomplishments is that I am an Angel Therapist®. You can read more about that ‘side’ of me on my other blog, Manhattan Angel, or listen to my radio show Angels and Archetypes, which is also available as a podcast.Listen to Angel SalonHere’s how the angels can help you lose weight. Ask them! Then, don’t be afraid to just listen. Angels are non-judgmental, nurturing, generous, and, by the way, non-denominational. We are not talking religion here, we’re talking about some help on our journey. Say it out loud, or softly within: help me make healthful choices.
As an Angel Therapist®, I call upon the angels for myself as well as for my clients. This week, I had the opportunity to do an angel reading for a woman, and the message came through loud and clear, before we even met. Stomach. Tend to your stomach and you will clear the way to a greater sense of well-being. Then, when I came home and drew a card from my Healing Cards deck (created by Caroline Myss and Peter Occhiogrosso) – this is what I pulled.
Illness begins in the stomach, and diet is the main remedy.
It went on to say:
Be mindful today of how you nourish your body with healthful food. Feed your spirit with self-respect and self-love, allowing only positive thoughts and feelings to enter your being.
If you have ever lost weight, or are doing so now, then you know that it is about so much more than the numbers on the scale and the smaller sizes: it is about imbuing yourself with a sense of well-being. Confidence. Yep, even happiness. It ain’t about looks, baby. It is about being who you are, in the most healthful and positive way.
